About Us

Saegers & Associates

About Us

Our Senior Quantity Surveyors and management all hold recognised New Zealand tertiary qualifications, either the National Diploma in Quantity Surveying -NDQS, or the Bachelor of Construction with a QS strand –BC(QS)

In addition to these qualifications, we place a strong emphasis on construction methodology and product knowledge experience, gained by Quantity Surveyors who have spent years working for construction firms, subcontractors, and suppliers.

The adage "Tis better to have earned the knowledge at the coal face, than the classroom" does bear weight to the Quantity Surveying profession to a certain degree.

Where we differ from our competitors, is that we place equal importance on both "coal-face" experience, and "classroom"professional qualifications and further professional development.

Mike Saegers heads our feasibility and investment advisory, and litigation support divisions; while also overseeing general contractual management and administration.

Kyle Owen heads our detailed estimating, change control, and procurement divisions; while also constantly liaising with head contractors, subcontractors & suppliers –locally, nationally, and internationally.
